The Worcester unit of the Providence Newspaper Guild represents news  employees of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. The newspaper was acquired June 2, 2014 by the Halifax Media Group based in Daytona Beach, Fla. That company was soon after acquired by GateHouse Media.
