Membership Meeting

There will be a General Membership Meeting at NOON on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, via Zoom. The Agenda will include:

–Welcome, Congratulations and Report on recently ratified 1^st contracts at VTDigger (VTDigger Guild unit) and Northampton Gazette (Pioneer Valley NewsGuild unit).

–Update on grievances, etc., re: Jurisdiction at Projo, Worcester and Brockton (Gannett units) re: introduction of DOT, CUE and Planning Desk; Step Increases at Projo.

–Approval of contract extension for Local Administrator

–Any new Business

PLEASE NOTE: By local bylaws, ONLY members in good standing  are allowed to attend General Membership Meetngs. Article VII, Secs. 3 and 4 of local bylaws state: “A member shall be in good standing if he or she is not more than one month in arrears in any of his or her financial obligations to this Local or to TNG,” and “Only members in good standing may vote in Local or unit elections or referenda; run for or hold elected office; or, except by invitation of the executive committee or a vote of the membership, attend or speak at a unit or Local membership meeting.” For members in our units with recently ratified contracts and for this meeting only, a signed dues deduction form   received by the local office will suffice as “good standing.”
